Last quarter I made small pieces; this quarter I stretched. Working 8 lbs of clay to shape big bowls felt like moving into a larger room—more breath, more curves. The scale let me refine proportions, clean lines, and welcome the small surprises of size. Each bowl keeps a California modern calm—soft forms, deliberate edges—and handcrafted variation.
Butter Bells hit the sweet spot
Not quite 8 lbs but not as tiny as a 1 lb lump of clay — these butter bells sit right in the sweet spot. They keep butter soft and spreadable, tucked safely inside a little ceramic haven that doubles as kitchen decor. Each one is handcrafted in small batches, so no two are exactly the same — a little quirk here, a soft curve there — made to be used, enjoyed, and proudly displayed.
